June 24th was the date with champagne
and strawberries at an afternoon reunion
Educating
homeopaths for 25 years is worth celebrating and
thanking those people [homeopaths and others] who have supported and
nourished the life of the College.
Rima Handley and Christine Conyers were given the Freedom of the Northern
College in recognition of their past and ongoing inspiration and creativity
as homeopaths.
Dorothy Wallstein [Hannon-Blazier]
was unable to be present, but sent a gift to the library of three books
whose subject matter reflects her wonderful particular contribution
to the ethos of the College. She also wrote us an open letter which
reminds those of us who were taught by her of her passion for genuinely
patient-centred and holistic health. It
is reproduced here in full, but its original will be treasured in
our Bookof the Day..
Many
past students and staff were present [well over a hundred people]The
alumni programme
and new Bursary Fund were launched and many messages were sent for our
"Tree"
The College was beautifully decorated:
the pride of place going to the wall-hanging at the top of the stairs
which was made collaboratively by the college support team and Glynis,
but instigated and enabled by Clare Satow who is one of the Trustees
of the College.
It
is very difficult to gave a true impression of the beauty of this hanging.
Its outer cover is a filmy silk which has the words "Northern Collegeof
Homeopathic Medicine" and "25 Years" along with our spiral
logo. Silver Birch trunks frame the slender silhouette of a more distant
tree.
